VAT and e-invoicing
Tax invoices that hold up today, and are ready for e-invoicing in 2027.
Every invoice carries your TRN, VAT at 5%, sequential numbering and a QR anyone can verify. Corrections are new documents, never edits. And Finance tells you, check by check, whether your books are ready.
What already works
Every invoice, the way a UAE audit expects it.
Your TRN and VAT at 5%
Sequential numbering, line items, VAT at 5% and totals to the fils, in Arabic and English. Proforma at return, tax invoice at settlement.
A QR anyone can verify
Every issued invoice carries a QR that opens its verify page, so your customer or an auditor can check it is genuine.
Corrections never rewrite
If something changes after an invoice is issued, you issue a supplementary invoice or a credit note, with a reason. The original stays exactly as issued.
A record of every send
Every send, print and download is logged beside a frozen copy of the invoice: the document and its data, hashed.
Finance › Tax & compliance
Know you're ready before anyone asks.
One tab checks your books the way the FTA will: invoice records, the VAT rule, customer data, the archive and the transmission log, each marked OK or with the number of items to fix. When your accountant or an auditor asks, export the month as CSV or the whole audit pack as one ZIP.
Between two rental shops
Sub-lease invoices, on both sides of the deal.
When a car you took on the network is returned, the owner's tax invoice is issued automatically and lands in your Finance › Payables, its status kept in step with the owner's books. Disagree with a line? Raise a dispute from there; the owner answers with a credit note or a supplementary invoice, never by editing the original.

E-invoicing is coming to the UAE. Your invoices are already in shape.
From 2027 every business-to-business tax invoice in the UAE must be issued as structured data through an accredited provider, not as a PDF or a printout. Here is what it means for a rental company.
The dates the Ministry of Finance has set
- 1 Jul 2026 Pilot phase opens. Voluntary adoption for any business.
- 30 Oct 2026 Businesses with revenue of AED 50 million or more must have appointed an Accredited Service Provider (ASP).
- 1 Jan 2027 E-invoicing mandatory for businesses with revenue of AED 50 million or more.
- 31 Mar 2027 All other businesses must have appointed their ASP.
- 1 Jul 2027 E-invoicing mandatory for all other businesses, whatever their size.
Ministerial Decisions 243 and 244 of 2025, as amended in May 2026. Invoices travel on the Peppol network in the UAE's PINT AE format, through an Accredited Service Provider, with the tax data reported to the FTA at the same time.
What it means for a rental company
- Every tax invoice you issue to a company is in scope: corporate rentals, fleet contracts, and every LPO between two rental shops.
- Credit notes and simplified invoices are in scope too, not only full tax invoices.
- Invoices to individuals (walk-in customers) are not in scope for now.
- Most rental companies fall under the 1 July 2027 date, with an ASP appointed by 31 March 2027.
Where Garagii.rental stands
- Every invoice already carries the fields an e-invoice needs: your TRN, sequential numbering, line items, VAT at 5%, totals to the fils.
- Supplementary invoices and credit notes are separate documents; an issued invoice is never rewritten, which is exactly what the regime requires.
- Invoices, receipts and LPOs are kept as records, not as loose PDFs.
Coming FTA e-invoicing starts 1 January 2027 for businesses with revenue of AED 50 million or more, and 1 July 2027 for everyone else. Submission through an accredited service provider is coming ahead of your date.

VAT and e-invoicing, asked and answered.
Do your invoices carry my TRN and 5% VAT?
Yes. A proforma at return and a VAT tax invoice at settlement, numbered and carrying your TRN, the line items, VAT at 5% and totals to the fils, in Arabic and English.
When does e-invoicing apply to my rental company?
Most rental companies fall under the second phase: an Accredited Service Provider appointed by 31 March 2027, and e-invoicing mandatory from 1 July 2027. Businesses with revenue of AED 50 million or more start on 1 January 2027. Confirm your own dates with your tax adviser.
Which invoices are in scope?
Every tax invoice you issue to a company, including corporate rentals, fleet contracts and every sub-lease between two rental shops, plus credit notes. Invoices to individuals, such as walk-in customers, are not in scope for now.
Will I need to change system before 2027?
No. Your invoices already carry what an e-invoice needs, built to the PINT-AE data standard. FTA e-invoicing starts 1 January 2027 for businesses with revenue of AED 50 million or more, and 1 July 2027 for everyone else. Submission through an accredited service provider is coming ahead of your date.
What if I made a mistake on an issued invoice?
Issue a credit note or a supplementary invoice. The original stays exactly as issued, which is what UAE VAT law expects.
